Overview

Gain the readiness needed to transition your observer certification seamlessly to CLASS 2nd Edition. Dive into the enhancements of CLASS 2nd Edition, sharpen your observation skills with hands-on practice, and discover a new framework to reduce the impact of bias during CLASS observations.

Training Description

CLASS 2nd Edition Observer Transition Training is a one-day, hands-on training that is designed to support active CLASS 2008 Pre-K and/or K-3 observers in preparing for recertification on CLASS 2nd Edition.

Prerequisites: Active Pre-K and/or K-3 CLASS 2008 Observer Certification.

What's Included

Participants will receive all training materials:

• Pre-K–3rd Manual Set
• Observation Score Sheets
• CLASS Observer  Transition Training Participant Guide

Upon training completion:

• At the time of your recertification, you’ll need to take the CLASS 2nd Edition Pre-K–3rd reliability test to get certified.
• Important note: If you completed your CLASS 2008 recertification within the past 6 months, you will be able to certify on CLASS 2nd Edition at no additional cost. If it has been longer than 6 months since your recertification, you will need to purchase a recertification after completing the training to certify on CLASS 2nd Edition.

Fees

When registering, use the same email address associated with your Pre-K and/or K-3 Observer certification or training within your myTeachstone account in order to complete registration.
